Eric Musselman was named the 18th coach at the University of Nevada on March 26, 2015.  On May 9th, 2017, Coach Musselman signed a new five-year contract to coach the Wolf Pack through the 2021-22 season. Musselman led the Wolf Pack to its first Mountain West regular season and tournament titles this past season. Hays Myers joins the Wolf Pack staff after five years as a student manager for the Louisiana State University men’s basketball team. Myers began his career at LSU under Head Coach Trent Johnson and his staff. After one year, Johnson left for TCU and Johnny Jones was hired at LSU. Myers worked for four years under Jones. Cade Knutson joins the Wolf Pack staff after playing two seasons at Southern Oregon University and working as a Support Staff member with USA Basketball for more than 8 years. Marcus Whitt joins the Wolf Pack staff after playing 4 years of NAIA basketball at Columbia College for NAIA Hall of Fame Coach Bob Burchard. Marcus helped the Cougars to an overall 122-17 record while there for his four years. Multimedia Specialist
Resnick comes to Nevada from Winona State University in Minnesota where he was the athletic communications graduate assistant for two years. He also played a large role in the department’s social media efforts as well as the department’s video projects and live streaming of home events. Resnick is a 2015 graduate of Winona State with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications electronic media with minors in computer technology and coaching.

Patrick Ackerman

Graduate Assistant
Patrick Ackerman spent one year as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. At Bridgewater Ackerman recruited athletes and scouted opponents, in addition, Ackerman worked with players individually as well as monitored academics. Ackerman is a 2016 graduate from the University of Detroit Mercy. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in leadership. Ackerman will pursue his master’s degree in educational leadership. He played basketball at Penn State and Detroit Mercy.

Christian Murphy

Christian Murphy spent the past year as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Central College in Pella, Iowa. During his time at Central College, Murphy was the head JV coach. He also specialized in recruiting, alumni relations and player development. Murphy graduated from Butler University in 2016, where he was four-year student manager for the Bulldogs, two years as a head manager. Robert Edwards

Graduate Assistant
Robert Edwards will be joining the staff after spending time as a graduate assistant at the University of Nebraska. Edwards received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska in communications with a minor in coaching, in December of 2016. As a graduate assistant he assisted with game preparations, workouts, administrative tasks as well as served as the head team manager. At Nevada, Edwards will be doing many similar tasks as he pursues his master’s degree in justice management.

Derek Saich

Academic & Video Assistant
Derek Saich will be stepping in this season to assist with academics, administration and video coordination. Saich comes from the University of California, Santa Barbara where he was most recently the director of academics and video coordinator for the men’s basketball team. Prior to graduating he served as a team manager for four seasons. Saich holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in biopsychology.
