Hays Myers

Hays Myers enteres his second year as Director of Player Devlepoment. He joined the Wolf Pack staff in 2016 after five years as a student manager for the Louisiana State University men’s basketball team. Myers began his career at LSU under Head Coach Trent Johnson and his staff. After one year, Johnson left for TCU and Johnny Jones was hired at LSU. Myers worked for four years under Jones. In 2014, Jones hired Eric Musselman as Associate Coach. Myers worked directly with coach Musselman on scouting reports.

In Myers’ fourth year as a manager and third with coach Jones, LSU went to the first round of the NCAA tournament. In his time at LSU, Myers has worked with coaches such as David Patrick, associate head coach at TCU, coach Musselman, and Brendan Suhr, former Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks assistant coach. Myers also worked with several NBA players including Johnny O’Bryant III (Milwaukee Bucks), Jordan Mickey (Boston Celtics), Jarrell Martin (Memphis Grizzlies), and Ben Simmons (Philadelphia 76ers).   

Myers was a two-sport letterman in high school at Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas. He was named a captain as a senior on his basketball team. He played basketball for Chris and Cameron Hill, sons of former NBA Head Coach Bob Hill.

Myers is 23 years old and graduated in May of 2016 with a degree in mass communication and two minors in sports studies and leadership development.

He is son to David and Sharla Myers. David was a manager for LSU in 1981 when they went to the Final Four under Dale Brown.
