Ramon Sessions Basketball Performance Center Open For Practice

The Ramon Sessions Basketball Performance Center has been opened for use for the Nevada men’s basketball team. Ramon Sessions (‘04- ‘07), now of the New York Knicks, donated one million dollars in order for the project to be fully funded.

The gym has one full-length court and two non-regulation size courts the run perpendicular to the main court, totaling six baskets. The main court has the same artwork and design of the game court in the Lawlor Events Center. The gym boasts of a state of the art sound system and three L.E.D. scoreboards.

The practice facility will be used as a supplementary facility for the teams during the season and more heavily used during the office season. Basketball student-athletes and coaches will have 24-hour access to the facility for the flexibility to workout anytime.

"We cannot thank Ramon Sessions enough for his generous donation to help fund our new practice facility and all of the others that helped in the funding, planning, and construction. Having a new state-of-the-art facility our players can use 24/7 and improve their game is big time for our Nevada basketball program," Musselman said. "Not only does it help our current players, but it is also a huge statement in recruiting and shows that our administration is dedicated to our vision of the future of Nevada Basketball. The fact that the facility is named after one of our most decorated Nevada Basketball players is a reminder to every current and future players if they commit themselves to excellence, they can leave Nevada and do pretty special things just like Ramon."
