Reno Bighorns Legacy Night to Honor Musselmans

Reno Bighorns Legacy Night to Honor Musselmans

In a night of celebration, the Reno Bighorns will recognize former head coaches, Bill Musselman and Eric Musselman for their contribution to the NBA D-League team.

Established in 1978-1979, the Reno Bighorns played in the Western Basketball Association, led by head coach Bill Musselman. During his time with the Bighorns, Musselman drove the club to a 28-20 record and the only WBA title game. Though the WBA was short lived, the Bighorns were arguably the best minor pro league in North America of the season.

In 2010, building upon his father’s legacy, Eric Musselman took on the position of head coach for the Reno Bighorns. Though Musselman only spent one season with the team, he led them to the only Western Conference title in franchise history, leaving his footprint on the Reno community.

The Reno Bighorns will recognize the legacy left by Bill and Eric Musselman on January 29th, 2018 at the Reno Events Center as they take on the Austin Spurs. In honor of the former coaches, the team will wear throwback jerseys, recognizing the Bighorn’s history. The first 1,000 fans will also receive a special edition Legacy Night t-shirt at the door.
