WOLF PACK PLAYERS GET VALUABLE NBA WORKOUT EXPERIENCE

As Nevada begins their summer offseason program there is a sense of excitement running through campus and throughout the Reno community about the potential of the upcoming season. However, with the season being months away, it seems high time to take a look back at the whirlwind offseason it has been for four members of the 2017-18 Wolf Pack.

Coming off standout seasons in which each player brought home honors from the Mountain West, Jordan Caroline, Cody Martin, Caleb Martin, and Kendall Stephens all received invites to NBA Pre-Draft workouts and have spent the last few months working tirelessly towards achieving their NBA dreams. They have traversed the country, attending twenty-four different Pre-Draft workouts for a total of twelve teams.  Caleb, Cody and Jordan all entered their names in the NBA draft as underclassmen.

As the country found out just a few short weeks ago, Caleb, Cody, and Jordan are all returning for their senior seasons after gaining valuable intel on what they need to work on during the upcoming year. Each of them will bring a wealth of experience back to Nevada and look to aid the Wolf Pack in their hunt for their third straight Mountain West title and tournament berth.

Kendall Stephens set the Mountain West record for 3 pointers made during the 2017-18 season and is known throughout college and NBA circles as one of the best shooters in the draft. After taking a couple weeks to rehab and finish up his degree, Kendall participated the Professional Basketball Combine before attending workouts with NBA teams over the last several weeks.

“It says so much about the state of the Wolf Pack program to have four players go through the Pre-Draft process,” Coach Eric Musselman said, “Jordan, Cody, and Caleb have learned so much from this experience and have come back hungrier than ever, ready to compete and help this team take the next step. We think the world of Kendall and wish him good luck during tonight’s NBA Draft.”

Be sure to see if Kendall gets drafted TONIGHT on ESPN. Coverage begins at 4:00 pm Pacific Time.

Drafted or not, Kendall will have a variety of options. Several NBA teams have contacted the Wolf Pack coaching staff with interest in Kendall for their Summer League teams.
