Dribbling with the Lights Off

Dribbling with the Lights Off

At Nevada, we like to change up small aspects of practice to make every day fun and exciting. Yesterday at practice, Pack players dribbled for 2 minutes straight with the lights off and music playing.

Pack coaches played defense against the players during the 2 minutes. Each Pack player had to maintain possession of their ball against the coaches by making game-like moves and staying in bounds. "Nonstop" from Drake’s new album, Scorpion was the song that played over the sound system in the Ramon Sessions’ Practice Facility.

This was the first time Coach Musselman ran this drill during his time at Nevada, but the drill originated from his time in the NBA as the head coach for the Sacramento Kings. "The more we can implement different/fun drills that break up the monotony of the everyday practice, the more focused our players will be."
