Geese Motivation

We used this prior to last season to demonstrate the importance of staying together as a team. A Team of Geese...

A team of geese fly in formation; they travel about 70% faster than when they fly alone. Geese share leadership. When the lead goose tires, he or she rotates back into the “V” and another goose flies forward to become the leader.

Geese keep company with the fallen. When a sick or weak goose drops out of the flight formation, at least one other goose will leave the formation to help and protect the weaker goose.

By being part of a team, we, too, can accomplish much more, much faster.  As funny as it sounds, we need to embody the spirit of the geese.  We need to embrace the same one-for-all mentality as them.  When one guy makes a great play, we all cheer for him!  When a guy dives on the floor, we all sprint to pick him up.  We have our teammates’ backs.  We win together, we lose together.  From 1-13 on the depth chart, each guy should take the same amount of pride to put on the Nevada jersey every day.
