Washington vs Nevada Preview

Washington will be in town on Sunday to Face the Wolf Pack in an exhibition game to benefit those affected by the Carr Wild Fire. The Huskies are an NCAA Tournament caliber team and return their top players while bringing in an impressive recruiting class.

A few of their top returners are Noah Dickerson, who is on the Karl Malone Award watch list. Prolific scorer, Jaylen Nowell, was honored by being on the watch list for the Jerry West Award. Also, on the watch list for the Julius Erving Award is Matisse Thybulle. These awards recognize college basketball’s best power forward, shooting guard, and small forward respectively.

Joining their players on the watch lists, we have Jordan Brown on the radar for the Karl Malone Award, Cody Martin for the Bob Cousy Award as the best point guard in college basketball, and Caleb Martin for the Julius Erving Award.

Last year the Huskies went 21-13 last year and played postseason games in the National Invitation Tournament. They are picked to finish amongst the top teams of the PAC-12 and make a run at being selected in the NCAA Tournament.

The game on Sunday has an NCAA Tournament feel and will be a great test for the Wolf Pack before starting regular season play.

Hope to see Pack fans in Lawlor on Sunday at 3:00pm to support Nevada Basketball!
