The Importance of Constant Communication and "Echoing" the Call

David Fizdale, who was an assistant with Coach Muss for the Warriors in 2003-2004 and current Head Coach of the Ney York Knicks, had some words regarding communication that Pack players needed to hear.

Fizdale stated that his players were not “echoing” the call late in games when Madison Square Garden gets loud and this resulted in them lacking organization closing out games. When a play call is made, every player on the floor should be echoing the call so 5 guys are on the same page and can go out and execute.

We emphasize to Pack players that there is no such thing as over-communicating. We want out players to be constantly talking and echoing calls throughout the entire game. Lawlor is going to be loud this year with close games down the stretch and our team need to organize and execute our sets in order to win games. Communication is so important throughout the entire game, especially down the stretch.
