Pack Return Home and Defend Lawlor

Pack Return Home and Defend Lawlor

After a 25 day time period away from home, the Pack returned to defend Lawlor against a talented South Dakota State team. The Jackrabbits battled but the back held on and finished with the win.

Let's take a look at what the Pack had to go through during this past month.

We departed for Las Vegas the day before Thanksgiving, which was our first of 9 different flights in 25 days.

We traveled as a Pack a total of 5,875 miles to 5 cities.

We defeated a Top 25 team in Arizona State and played against one of the toughest fan bases in Phoenix against Grand Canyon.

The Pack then returns home to face the best scoring duo in all of college basketball last night in Mike Daum and David Jenkins. Pack players accepted the challenge and held the duo, who scores nearly 50 points per game, to only 10 combined points.

To say this stretch was a challenge for our players would be an understatement, as we have to realize on top of all this this, they are full time students. We are proud of how our guys have responded to this challenging stretch while handling their business in the classroom as well.

Nevada is 11-0, which is the best star in program history since the 1969-1970 season. We are proud about this start but we know we have goals to accomplish moving forward.

It was great to play in front of the best fans in college basketball again last night after being away for as long as we have been.

We are 11-0 and couldn't be here without the fans. See you all next Saturday for our last home game before Christmas. Go Pack!
