Pack Players Honored On Late Season Award Lists

Pack Players Honored On Late Season Award Lists

With the success that the Wolf Pack has had this season so far, it has brought individual attention to our players. Three Pack players have been named to late season watch lists for two different awards.

Jordan Caroline and Caleb Martin have been named to the Wooden Award late season top 20 watch list. The John R. Wooden award is the most recognized individual honor in college hoops. The award winner is viewed as the best player in college basketball by their performance on the court while also being a quality student in the classroom.

Nevada is one of only four schools that has two representaitives on this list. Tennessee, Duke and Virginia are the other three schools.

Cody Martin is the other Pack player who is being recognized at this point in the season. The senior point guard has been named a top 10 finalist for the Cousy Award.

Caleb hs also been honored as a top 10 finalist for the Julius Erving Award. The award honors college basketball's top small forward.

The Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award has honored the best point guard in college basketball for the past 15 years.

All three of our senior leaders are well deserving of the individual recognition after leading the Wolf Pack to a 21-1 record and #6 rank in the country. We know that Jordan, Cody and Caleb will continue to push our team every day in order for us to reach our goals at the end of the season.
