Thank You, Wolf Pack Nation

Thank You, Wolf Pack Nation

Dear Wolf Pack Nation,

Thank you for being the best fans in the country and your constant support this season. The group of men our team consisted of this year will be grateful for the experience you helped provide them with from the moment they first stepped on campus.

Our season began in June with summer practices as we competed daily in order to figure out our identity for the upcoming season. Every day that our players stepped in the gym they had a championship mentality and wanted to represent our school in a positive light.

The Nevada community watched our players grow into men and leaders on and off the court. From June through the end of October, our team not only focused on getting betting on the court but also in our community. Pack players made visits to the local homeless shelter, the children's hospital and numerous elementary schools in the area to give back to the Reno community. These moments they shared with our fans and those in need are moments that they will carry with them long after their time here at Nevada.

On November 6th we started the season off with a double digit win against BYU and continued to win 14 straight games, the best start in school history. Knocking off Power 5 conferences schools and a final four team from last year, the Pack solidified themselves as one of the top teams in the country. We were undefeated in Lawlor and had the largest attendance in the history of Nevada Basketball.

Continuing the success into March, we secured our 3rd consecutive Mountain West Regular Season Championship and were 1 of 20 teams to make the NCAA Tournament the past three seasons. We proud that very senior that has been with our program over the past four years has cut down the nets in their last game in Lawlor.

This senior group will be remembered as one of the greatest to ever put on a Nevada jersey and we thank them for the everlasting memories they helped create. Completing the season with a school record 29 wins and being ranked in the AP Top 20 all year speaks volumes to how special this group was.

Most importantly, we helped prepare out players for life after college. Whether they want to pursue a professional basketball career or not, we made sure that our players will graduate with their degrees ready to make an impact on the world. We celebrate our players Cody and Caleb Martin, Jordan Caroline, David Cunningham, Trey Porter, Tre Thurman and Corey Henson on the legacy they will leave behind with them once they leave campus after graduation.

On behalf of our staff and the University of Nevada, we are grateful for you joining us on this incredible journey and look forward seeing you all in Lawlor next season.

Thank you. Go Pack!

Sincerely,

Coach Muss
